Dear Everyone,

In the light of the continuing high number of persons infected with COVID-19 in Denmark, we have received new guidelines from the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Higher Education. Accordingly, we are extending the initiatives recently announced internally for KADK and observing the further tightening of the mandatory precautions concerning physical presence on campus. The new restrictions will be introduced in the course of this week.

Specifically, the NEW restrictions are as follows:

  • All employees who can work from home must continue to do so until 18 October.
  • Assembling multiple fixed groups in large rooms with reduced distancing is no longer allowed. Large lecture assemblies are still allowed, but all participants must observe a minimum distance of one (1) metre, no matter where they come from.
  • Wherever possible, everyone must keep a distance of one (1) metre everywhere on campus, also in fixed groups.
  • Fixed groups at KADK will comprise at most 30 members from now on.

The following restrictions are CONTINUING:

  • The ban on gatherings of more than 50 people still does not apply to our educational activities.
  • All social events must still be cancelled.

If you are INFECTED:

  • If you are a student and you get infected or if you suspect that you are infected, we urge you to notify the Study Administration Office on studieservice@kadk.dk.
  • If you are an employee and you get infected or if you suspect that you are infected, you must notify your staff manager.

Detailed guidelines on what to do in the event of infection or suspected infection are available on:
https://kadk.dk/corona-information-faq-studerende
https://kadk.dk/corona-information-faq-kadk-medarbejdere

Also, please observe the general RECOMMENDATIONS:

  • Stay home if you have symptoms of COVID-19.
  • Avoid public transport if it is possible to use other modes of transport.
  • Remember to wash hands and use hand sanitiser.
  • Conduct as many activities as possible outdoors.

We hope that everyone will do their best to follow the guidelines and take care of one another. We wish to continue keeping our campus open, and we are planning and organising the instruction in the best possible manner within the current framework. We hope for your continued support and understanding in these unusual times.

Remember that you can still write to corona@kadk.dk

Kind regards

Lene Dammand Lund and Jakob Brandtberg, Chairman of KADK’s Task Force 2 for Safe Reopening
